Privacy Policy

The short version: nothing you do ever leaves your browser.

PowerBar for Xero runs entirely inside your browser as a content script on xero.com pages.

What we collect

Nothing. The extension:

• sends no analytics, telemetry, or crash reports;
• reads no accounting data off the page for any purpose other than rendering its own interface locally — for example, building a filename from the invoice number shown on screen;
• transmits no page content, keystrokes, or browsing activity anywhere.

We do not have a server. There is nowhere for such data to go.

What is stored, and where

• Your settings — which features are on, your pinned pages, your filename template — are stored in Chrome's extension storage. If you have Chrome sync enabled, Chrome syncs them to your own Google profile. We never see them.
• If you buy Pro, your licence key is stored locally and validated against the Lemon Squeezy licensing API. The only data sent in that request is the licence key itself. Lemon Squeezy is our payment provider and Merchant of Record; their privacy policy covers their handling of your purchase details.
• The extension periodically fetches a small status file from GitHub that lets us switch off a feature remotely if a Xero interface change breaks it. This is a plain file download; no data about you is sent with it beyond a standard HTTP request.

Permissions

The extension requests access to https://*.xero.com/* only. It cannot read or modify any other website.

Access to your downloads is an optional permission. It is requested only if you switch on custom invoice PDF filenames, and it is handed back when you switch that feature off. It never appears in the install prompt.

Children

The extension is a business tool and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes and the change is recorded in the public repository's history, so you can see exactly what changed and when.
